Have I made a mistake online order

sorry didn't know where to post this, im only on style and beauty, was on Instagram a ad came up, I never buy from ads on Facebook/ Instagram, but thought this would make a lovely present, ordered payed with PayPal, then checked the site came back with a review don't buy from this website its a scam, the website carefree, had the padlock symbol so I thought it was ok, so I got intouch with PayPal he said did I get a confirmation email yes, to give them a chance, if the item doesn't turn up I can get a full refund from them.anyone used this site.🙏

What did you buy? Is the seller on TrustPilot?

It was only a small gift a stocking fuller, 2 wooded guitar shape pick holders, off to check on trust pilot

Trust pilet say it has 60% the first review is bad but after that all good.

The reviews mention a wooden guitar pick holder so I’d assumed it’s the same.

The reviews are made up rubbish, in my view. You can tell because they use the same unlikely phrases.

I would expect the items to turn up eventually but come from China and probably be poor quality when they do arrive. Trying to return them will be impossible - these places usually offer you a partial refund or the return shipping will be prohibitively expensive as they will not give you a UK address.

@EmotionalSupportBiscuit yes thats the one, I should of check before I brought, as I said I got intouch with PayPal, I phoned them, and he did say if it doesn't turn up I can get a full refund through them. When I did a bit of digging about the site, they have a Facebook page but I suppose it could be fake too.

I was looking at that earlier today. Let us know if it turns up and what they are like.

@November10000 iwill let you know, they wasn't expensive just under £20 for two pick holders, I did email them yesterday, to ask if they would arrive before Christmas, I haven't had a reply yet, I'm now thinking it possible is a scam site, going to give them till Monday to reply and if I here nothing will start a refund with PayPal.

Update , I emailed the company as they had changed me tax, after reading tax was free on the order page, I didn't expect a answer as I had sent 2 emails with no response, well i had a reply today and a refund of tax paid, and said items are on there way , we let you know when they come.

Wow @lindyloo57 surprised you still havent had them if they were on their way 2 weeks ago.

@November10000 I can't believe it, they turned up this morning, I had emailed the company before Christmas to get a refund on the tax they charged, as it said on order form tax free, which I received so that got my hopes up, so all good in the end.

I to ordered two guitar pic holders. On the 1st December. Sent an email a few weeks after and had an instant reply saying delayed shipping. Have just emailed them
again. Has anyone received their items?
