Would you know if you were accidentally injected with filler instead of botox?

Got botox 2.5 weeks ago. Cheeks on face have swollen up like a chipmunk and a big rash. I should say that I had a biopsy wound on face healing at the same time.
Does this sound like an infection/cellulitis? Or could he have injected filler? Rest of face forehead etc is fine

Whatever it is doesn’t sound good. Id see a GP asap.

I'd think cellulitis would usually appear quicker (both my children had it after vaccinations, and it appeared within 24 hours). See a GP. I've had botox and filler and it's definitely different; you can move your face where you've had filler! Having said that, the freezing effect of botox isn't instant. Can you contact the clinic where you had it done and ask what the nurse/doctor thinks might have happened?

Please tell me it was a qualified medical professional and not in some manky salon?😳

Yes a GP actually that branched into dermatology. He reckons it's an infection so I'm on antibiotics & steroids. Hopefully it works 🤞🏻

Yes, filler is a lot thicker (and hurts more as a result!) so I would know at the time.

Botox is merely an injection whereas filler is injected and manually manipulated by hand.

Did the practitioner know about the biopsy? If so they should have waited till it was fully healed . I hope the antibiotics and steroids work Flowers
