Perimenopausal and suffering from anxiety. Double whammy.

I've noticed the permanent shadow, even after I've waxed or shave the fuzzy hairs ahem moustache above my upper lips.

Never had this problem in my 40s.

Now it's a permanent reminder of how much I used to take things for granted. And I'm sure if I

It's so obvious I can't face looking at myself. It's obvious when you see me face to face or when I take photos.

Olive skin, mid/dark brown hair and never used to be typically hairy. Not on hrt either.

Anyone else wants to wallow with me or better still, have a permanent solution that works?

Is it hair or is it hyperpigmentation?

Yes definitely pigmentation, as it's there even when I've waxed all the hairs. I will look into Tretinoin. I didn't know you could get it without prescription?? Thank you!

Melasma? Put makeup on it and have factor 50 in the sun reapplied. It is worse when exposed to the sun.

Azelaic acid 10% (no particular brand) is good for hyperpigmentation.
