Muslim wedding outfit suggestions

DH and I have been invited to the wedding (evening) for his colleague’s DC.
It is a Muslim wedding at the end of December and I’m panicking about what to wear. I want to make an effort.

I‘m tall, size 14 with a GG bust. My go to outfit would be either a short dress because I’ve good legs or a v top with arms out as they are my best bits but I don’t feel that would be appropriate.

I wear mainly black - again not appropriate…
I’m thinking long wide leg trousers and top combo/ jumpsuit but my wondering if my sparkly searches are too Christmassy…

Budget would be around £150 - I’m also wondering if I should risk waiting until post Xmas for a sale bargain?

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated- thank you

I went to my neighbour's wedding. Probably a lot depends on how strict they are about female modesty, but to the one I went to, a short skirt or dress would have been wildly inappropriate. Ditto for trousers if bum is not covered with some other garment. It was summer but I wore a silk long dress with one of those meshy tie front cardigans to cover arms. Afterwards I was told by neighbour it was perfect!

If you haven't been given a dress code, then wear what you would normally wear for a wedding, just not above the knee. Sparkly is good! Even if very religious, they wouldn't expect non-Muslim guests to dress a certain way. It sounds like it may be a big wedding in a hotel or function room? If so, I'm certain you will see a lot of bling and uncovered heads and arms.
