Hi dd has lots or inflamed red spots around her forehead. Mainly around the edges. Also lots of bumps but the same colour as her skin. I mean they cover the skin above the corner and at the sides of her eyes

She also has the usual spots on her nose cheeks chin etc but not as many.

Can you have acne just on your forehead.

She's so embarrassed as most kids I see her with don't really have spots.

Her sister dd14 had the odd ones but dd12 forehead is covered.

Would you go to the doctors?

She drinks water. Loves fruit. Showers every night. Uses face wash every night. She tried using it in the morning for 2 days but it made them worse.

Thanks.

I'd suggest Cetaphil facewash and the Ordinary balancing serum (bright pink)

If it doesn't settle then perhaps the Drs will be able to give something

Thanks. I got her the Nip and Fab Teen Day and night cleansers last week. 2 of each. But I don't mind spending more if it will work.

The gp can prescribe antibiotics. My Ds had Lymecycline and they worked really well

Thank you

My little sister is around the same age - mum took her to doctors and she was given some cream. Mum says it does wonders. I would give the GP a go.

Follow Daniel Suguid on Insta. He's good on daily skincare foro teens.

I think for the little bumps etc, she needs a cleanser with salyclic acid. I've just bought some for DS (cerave) but as his skin is sensitive and very dry I've told him to just use it a couple of times a week to start (he's got a squalane cleanswer for other days). It does seem to be helping a bit but it's only been about 10 days.
