Sezane sizing

Can anyone advise on Sezane sizing?

Ive only ever ordered one thing (a jumper - in a large) from there and when it arrived, it was the size of a postage stamp, so I'm hesitant to order again in case the same thing happens and I get a pair of elf trousers delivered.

is it my chest/shoulders that are the problem (30E) or is everything tiny? I'm 5' 6" and a size 8-10 everywhere else.

Variable, I always follow the size guidance for each item. I am pretty much the same measurements as you except shorter and I usually get xs or s.

Really? That's interesting. I wonder if it was the style of jumper? It was thin and a fitted style. Not oversized or boxy.

I'm a size 6-8 and get a size 6-8 in Sezane. I pretty much always fit in 6 in their tops but 6 in trousers is a bit tight on me. I wear a 28E.

I went into their store in NYC last month. I'm a uk 14 and needed an xxl in a jumper! The jeans were true to size though. They have some beautiful items 😍

OllyBJolly · 05/12/2024 19:12

I find the sizes small compared to UK sizing.

Interesting answers. I think I'll order again but go up a size for knitwear . They dont seem to cater to booby women.

Interesting, I actually think their sizing is more generous compared to UK sizing. I have the Betty, Will, Maurice, Simon, Sol dress and a couple of other pieces mostly xs and the odd s

Littleguggi · 05/12/2024 20:48

Typically I'm a size 6-8 on top and 8-10 on bottom

I generally wear a size 8 trousers in most shops, I wear a 26 in the brut sexy jeans (called something like that!)

I wear a 30HH bra size, I find everywhere tends have an oversize fit so my tops are mainly 8s too, whereas I find sezane a standard fit unless they say it’s oversized. Anyway, I have a shirt in a size 10, jumpers and cardigan are both in small and medium depending on the fit I’m after. Where they are in actual clothes sizes they’re either 8 or 10, again depending if I want them looser or not.

i don’t have any dresses so unsure of sizing, sorry.

The sizing is really variable I think. I usually go with the website guidance to size up or down. I'm also on all the Facebook groups for Sezane and search for the item I'm thinking of buying to see if the sizing is discussed. If all else fails I usually order two sizes and pay by credit card so I'm not desperately waiting for the return credit for the wrong size.

I’m a size 10 and 28E. I’ve found the size 10 to be the right size, although sometimes a bit roomy on top. I don’t think they allow much space for hips. I do read the size guides on the website which usually tell you whether to size up or down if you are between sizes so they give a good idea whether the item is fitted or looser.
Knitwear is more tricky. For a size 10 they recommend a medium but I find a lot of their knits are very oversized. I have the gaspard in XS and would normally go for a S.
I think you were unlucky with the item you bought. It seems like it was designed for a more body con fit.

TheLeadbetterLife · 06/12/2024 10:26

I also think their sizing is generous, though I've only got a couple of things from there.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 06/12/2024 11:45

I'm a UK 10/12 but prefer an oversized fit. I have two cardis from Sezane, Gaspard and Basile, and got both in L which is a 12. The Basile is a nice, chunky oversized fit and I love it, the Gaspard is massive and looks daft - I should have returned it as I never wear it.

TheLeadbetterLife · 06/12/2024 11:58

I'm a tall UK 14 / EU 42 and have the Gaspard cardigan in L, which I find a perfect fit for the style—loose but not oversized.

Game0fCrones · 06/12/2024 18:45

I agree, I think I was just unlucky with this purchase. I'll try again and see how it pans out.

Interesting to hear that they aren't generous on the hip, as I have straight hips being an inverted triangle. That could work in my favour.
