Small walking shoes

I’m on the hunt for really good walking shoes that can handle 3 weeks of mostly city tourism through Germany and Switzerland. It will be summer.

The catch is that they need to be size 1.

every article I find, the recommended shoes don’t come smaller than a 3.

Try articles about walking shoes for kids - or look at kids versions of the recommended adult makes. Not all makes seem to do kids sizes but plenty do. Head to Cotswold outdoors or millets or mountain warehouse to try some on.

And I wouldn’t get too hung up on the articles - use them to see what brands are generally good, reliable etc. Then you need to see what actually suits your feet.

We ended up getting children’s Hoka running shoes. Normally even expensive children’s shoes don’t provide enough support, but these worked. She said that she didn’t believe the step counts because her feet didn’t hurt.
