Skin - sun damage spot?

I'm 46 and in the last few years I've developed a really unsighlty uneven patch of brown skin on my cheek. It isn't a mole, it's two sort of ragged splotches.

They got much worse in pregnancy last year and have faded a bit but not gone. They're hard to cover up completely with concealer and as mum to a new baby I rarely put on make up.

Is there anything that can be done? My mum had one when she was 60 which disappeared when she took a hormonal supplement (didn't work for me).

I've used sunscreen daily for decades and on holiday wear factor 30-50 (although i don't stay out of the sun, i like how it feels).

Any ideas of anything i can do to lighten/shrink it?

I have had a patch like this for years. Switched from La Roche Posay to P20 factor 50 this year and it's barely noticeable now! Certainly didn't darken in the summer like it usually does.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions!

I've struggled to find a daily SPF which doesn't make me spotty but have found Cerave SPF50 good. Will try P20 in the summer, thanks!

Yes I've been wearing hats and things but need to be better. My mum had a melanoma removed this year, it was rather sobering. I got all my moles checked, but forgot to ask about my patch.
