Losing perspective - what boots??

Aaaagh please help - trying to find some boots to go with this dress. Spent so long looking that I no longer know what looks nice any more!!

It's a smart casual dress code.
I will be wearing black tights - either sheer black or opaque, still to be decided.
What black boots would go?

I know kitten heels are in but I always feel a bit wobbly when I'm wearing them. But my chunky ankle boots feel a bit dated.

I wouldn't wear boots with that dress unless I were trying to dress it down. But if you want to wear boots, then knee with kitten heels or flat black suede over the knee.

But if you do want to wear boots something like these. The first 2 are way over budget and just given as an idea.

If you’re quick you could find something in this sale at Zara. At these prices they are mostly not leather, (some are) but the prices are low and the boots fashionable.

I'd probably do opaque tights and Cuban heeled ankle boots.

Tried Zara but delivery wouldn't be quick enough 😕
