Paranoid Mum.

Stands alone in playground, watching everyone else chatting - convinced they're all talking about her.

S1ur · 29/04/2008 10:57

I think I would aspire to be some of these. Though possible not dull mum.

Tactful Mum.

Always says exactly what you need to hear.
"Oh they all hit occasionally, mine were far worse"
"I don't think eating poo is that damaging really"
"Gosh your children are so brave"

These mums make very good friends, especially for dizzy mums.

Yes 100 is. And several others on here I think. It is def a wonderful trait

Cammelia · 29/04/2008 10:59

I can be 5 of them in the same week

CrushWithEyeliner · 29/04/2008 10:59

Bitchy Mum

Eyes like daggers, petite, blonde, fit body - spreads malicious gossip, tries to get other Dads booted out of the footy team, makes implications of affairs and says some of the Dads come on to her..

Porpoise · 29/04/2008 11:00

oh I lurve Tactful Mum.

ChippyMinton · 29/04/2008 11:02

I love cammelia's You'll Get Over it Mum

  • that is what i aspire to

Newbie Mum - very excited about PFB starting school and anxiously asking about the tiniest detail - what time is lunch, what style plimsolls should i get, where do i stand in the playground etc etc

I suspect I am dizzy indie mum.

Well, I don't think I'm better than all the Bodenish mums, but I do dress like a 14-year-old.

My bf is Tactful Mum. I try to emulate.

Self-absorbed Mum
She has an example of her own child for everything you say. All conversations lead to her, her family and her life.

Janni · 29/04/2008 11:07

Grandad Dad.

On his third family.
VERY heavily involved this time round.
Professor Higgins-ish towards his younger wife

Cammelia · 29/04/2008 11:10

Yay, I was hoping someone would bring Dads into it.

At our school we have:

Famous Dad - pretend he wants to be treated like any other parent but would get really annoyed if anyone did

Sunshinemummy · 29/04/2008 11:10

Is it bad that I think I might be Singing Mum?

Cammelia · 29/04/2008 11:12

It depends what you are singing

Hassled · 29/04/2008 11:12

Ah yes, Rude Mum who randomly blanks you even though you've had kids in the same class for 5 years.

S1ur · 29/04/2008 11:12

Don't worry sunshine (I sound a bit like Frank Butcher saying that)

We're all a bit like a lot of these. I know a Singing Mum, she's lovely. I see every week at the library that I've been taking the dcs to since they were 2 days old

Hassled · 29/04/2008 11:14

Over-enthusiastic in a irritating puppyish way Dad, who comes to PTA meetings and is an energetic and talkative School Governor. Have often worked in "education" for years and are delighted with the prospect of getting first hand experience with PFB.

Sunshinemummy · 29/04/2008 11:15

I'm a bit obsessive - get a bit upset when DS comes home with a song I don't know the words and actions to!

S1ur · 29/04/2008 11:20

TMI Dad

He knows all about childbirth, breastfeeding, sore fanjos and leaking milk. And he is happy to share and advise.

Lauriefairycake · 29/04/2008 11:22

This is the funniest thread

I like Fllight's Negligent Mum, I would aspire to that (sounds cosy)

ChocolateRockingHorse · 29/04/2008 11:25

Slut Chav Mum

Only on MN to try to chat up random Dads; has canny ability to sniff out ones who are up for a bit of cybering.

RosaLuxembourg · 29/04/2008 11:28

Over-involved mum
She is a governor, and on the PTA and helps out on all the school trips and listens to children read and runs a couple of after-school clubs as well.
Because it is so important to support the school.
You can tell this mum because she is on first name terms with all the school staff from the head to the cleaning ladies and ususually says we rather than they when referring to the school.

I know this mum rather too well.

Janni · 29/04/2008 11:33

Rosa I know her too.

Elegant SAHM.

Beautiful, Boden-dressed children, lots of Help, many therapies.

Still complains.
