Gel type moisturiser…help please

I have such sensitive skin & literally EVERYTHING breaks me out or causes me under the skin bumps.
Can anyone recommend anything that is super super gentle on your skin or a gel type moisturiser?

I’ve tried so many different moisturisers over the years I just don’t know what to try anymore. I’m wondering if a gel type moisturiser would be best as it’s not as thick?

Help please!

Dermalogica calm water gel could be an idea. It’s pricy but you don’t need much at all and it’s specifically aimed at sensitive skin. https://www.dermalogica.com/products/calm-water-gel?selling_plan=2401501336

Calm Water Gel For Sensitive Skin | Dermalogica®

Pure aloe Vera gel is cheap and moisturising.

Clinique do a moisture surge . It's in like a small peachy container . Expensive but does last and very much an easy to apply gel.

have you tried weleda?
skin food light is quite pleasant. contains lanolin and some herbs though if you are sensitive to those.

And as pp said, the Clinique one.

Both really lovely on the skin. No idea how they are for sensitive skin though.

This was going to be my recommendation too - standard moisture surge though, not the MS Intense, which is richer.

OP, I swear to you. You must get Sebamed Clear Gel. It’s about £7.

Everything on the planet causes my face to break out too. It’s basically anything with even a hint of “creaminess” sets me off. This is so gentle, totally unscented, oil free and literally the only thing I’ve been able to use for years.

Hi use snail gel from Holland and Barratt.

Butterbeanbutterbo · 28/11/2024 05:45

I use boots witch hazel and tea tree. It is cheap and a gel type one. I tried loads of usually more expensive ones and this was the only one that didn’t cause problems

Mercurial123 · 28/11/2024 08:34

Elf does a good one, and it's reasonably priced and cruelty free.

Aveeno does a great gel moisturiser, in it's calm and restore range. It really helped when I developed dermatitis.

UmberMoose · 28/11/2024 12:23

I use the cerave moisturiser. Here goes my routine:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Evening:
Micellar water
Cerave moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

I use Aveeno Calm and restore oat gel moisturiser for day and their night cream which suit my sensitive skin
If my budget allowed, I would go for Clinique moisture surge

TheRainItRaineth · 28/11/2024 13:02

The Ordinary has a really nice gel moisturiser.

I absolutely love their stuff - nothing else has ever worked as well for me. If you are prone to breakouts, the niacinamide serum is really good. There are currently discounts across the whole range.

LoafofSellotape · 28/11/2024 13:22

Aveeno calm and restore range is excellent.
