Ankle boots for fat ankles

Where oh where is the perfect ankle boot? I want something for every day wear with a low-medium block heel.

I’ve tried Valentino VLogo Signatures in 30mm and 75mm, Russell & Bromley Infinity and Louboutin Turelas 55mm and they are all too tight round the ankle - I’m a size 16. I suspect they will all give in time but I don’t want to waste that sort of money on boots which aren’t totally comfortable to begin with?

Does anyone have any suggestions for high end boots with chunk ankles please?

i already have the JC boots which do indeed work with my fat ankles but they don’t work well under trousers for a smarter look. I think the other styles would be much the same.
Have already trawled through NaP but coming up blank.
