If you got sucked in during the InstaMum heyday, what were you conned into buying?

Was reading something on another forum about the “Insta Mum heyday” which was apparently 2016-ish and how lots of vulnerable new mums were influenced into buying stuff that InstaMums made look desirable. This was in the days before most people knew how Instagram works (ie influencers are gifted stuff / paid to promote stuff they wear and probably don’t even like half of it)

I wasn’t a mum until a bit later and have never really followed “Insta mums”so maybe missed that era.

What, if anything, were you influenced to buy? Do you look back and cringe or did you genuinely like it?

Aidan and Anais Muslins 😂 giant sizes muslins were not necessary!

@Baddaybigcloud I had a giant giraffes pattern muslin, I used it as a pram cover until I discovered that was dangerous & brought a proper pram cover !

I wasn’t conned into them but I loved the a&a muslins, they stayed soft throughout both my DCs baby years. I’m currently nearly being convinced by fabletics though…

mainly clothes, but i don't regret them, because i didn't but them because of the influencer, even if i first saw them with it.

What i do regret is feeling a little bit inadequate because i didn't have the disposable income they did - when in actual fact, they didn't either, it was just freebies and paid ads.
