How to get lipstick to stay

As title! How on earth do people get their lipstick to stay and not wear off all the time???

I've not tried Lancome for years but they used to have different types and the matt ones did stay put for a while. MAC seems to be good, but the ones I have are matt and red.

The maybelline ones tend to stick on the outer part of my lips but not so much on the inner part. I have an Essence lip gel that stays put for hours.

Anything creamy does not last on me.

Agreed. The Maybelline are just horrible and like you've coated your lips in plastic. Mac matt are very long lasting but a tad dry and draggy. Their other formulas are nice but not long lasting. The L'Oreal matts in the gold bullet are nice and long lasting. Nice fragrance too. I have a few water tint lip strains that I like. But they can tend to leave the middle bits bare. I think if money wasn't an object it'll be Chanel matt velvet.

Some of the Maybelline ones looked a bit crusty on me, and I generally use a tinted lipbalm instead. The Nivea crayon one lasts quite well.
