Long warm waterproof coat

Does such a thing exist!? I have a great waterproof but it’s not long, my long winter coat isn’t waterproof.

Ideally it would be calf length, totally waterproof, lightweight, warm, detachable hood, thumb cutouts and not black!

Any ideas?

Regatta or Barbour?

I've had something similar from Regatta, although it was black.

did you look in/on Marks and Spencer? my daughter bought one today which answers your criteria but believe its black - in fct it is more likely to be black than cerise, say

Joules and Seasalt both have coats on their websites that meet these criteria.

Thanks for replies slowly going through them. The Seasalt one would be great but just not long enough. Barbour don’t seem to have any. Joules aren’t long enough either.

Lands End Stadium Squall meets all of those criteria. The maxi expedition parka is even warmer but too warm for normal use unless you are standing around when it is the dogs

I have an amazing regatta green parka. It’s totally waterproof and has a down lining. No thumb holes though…

Seasalt Janelle ticks most of those boxes, I have one and it's brilliant! Worth having a look on their official eBay store as they often have them discounted on there.

I'm 5'6" and mine is below the knees at the front and then dips down to calf length at the back with an expansion bit so that you can actually walk in it. They are quite generous on sizing so depends if you want to wear layers under it, but I find mine just the right mix of warm and yet don't feel smothered by it. Serving me well for hours stood by the side of a wet windy rugby pitch!

The Janelle would be perfect if it was just a bit longer at the front, my current coat is nearly ankle length and the warmth it gives your legs I think I’d miss if I went shorter.

Lands End one is too short. I think this coat doesn’t exist!

I have a great warm and waterproof coat from Regatta.
It’s an Orla Kelly in green and navy, the hood isn’t detachable and there are no thumb holes. It is fleece lined and calf length.
It’s not a dryrobe or changing robe coat but is quite roomy.
Regatta have lots on their website and much cheaper than in the shops I find.

I might be wrong here but what is the quality of Regatta like? I’ve never really considered them to be good quality, more cheaper end hiking gear!

Look for wintersport brands if you want thumb holes. I just bought a calf length one from Protest, looks like a duvet but lightweight.

I have this one from Lighthouse amazing value especially in the sale, properly waterproof, long, and detachable hood (I'm not keen on the hood TBH so never use it). With my long boots on I'm totally impenetrable 😆. No thumb hooks though I'm afraid unless they've changed it in the last 2 or 3 years since I bought mine.

The Erika Parka but they also do longer ones I think.

I also got a brilliant long padded/puffa type coat from M&M direct last year which is really warm and I've worn in all weathers and is really cheap (NB I'd say go up a size if you want to wear more than a thin top under t!). I'm considering getting another one in another size I wore mine so much last year.

I bought one from M and S the other week that ticks all your boxes. It looks bulky but weighs absolutely nothing. Wore it standing watching DD play rugby on Sunday and was toasty and dry.

I have a Seasalt Janelle, but I find it too warm when out walking the dog so I got a full length Outback coat from Lighthouse Clothing, longer than the Janelle, just as wind and waterproof and near enough half the price.

This is only water repellent which is different from waterproof

Have you tried Holland Cooper or Rains?

I have this one it is water proof, thermal lined so warm but not to bulky, I’m 5ft 4 and it’s sits about 1 inch above my ankle so longer than calf length but I am in no way tall.
