Hunter wellies... So difficult to take off!

Decided to invest in decent wellies, after cheap ones split at soles or seams.

Got some long hunter wellies.

I can barely get them on, and worse to get off! It's the ankle bit!

Is It just me?

I never liked my Hunters either, sorry OP.

I now have Muckboots and much prefer them.

I suggest a cast iron stag beetle boot puller.

Long shoe horns..

They help to get off boots as well, just slide them down between back of leg and boot.

The tip will touch hell bed and you can push the shoe horns down as you pull your foot up. (It makes sense when you do it...)

Your heel should easily slide up the shoe horn and the pushing downward helps that initial 'pop' of getting the boot off.

They're not the same since they shifted production to the far East. Aigle or LeChameau are preferable.

Yep! I've had mine for about 10 years and still really struggle getting them off but I suppose I shouldn't moan because they've lasted me so long Smile

Wear them with slippy nylon leggings. I tried them with shorts and ankle socks and was stuck in them for what felt like a week.
