Why does M&S never have anything in stock?

Been wanting some trousers and jumpers ans just everything I click on is OOS!

Agree, it is very frustrating! Waiting on a wax coat and a cord dress to come back in stock.

Not M&S, this is JL. But I was awaiting on a piece of furniture to come ‘back in stock’, which it did last week. I was notified and I immediately ordered and paid in full.

To then be told ‘delivery will be in 10 weeks’. What???!

That would drive me insane!

If it's on the new arrivals page then they usually don't have much stock - give it a week or two and they always get stock

Furniture is often made to order these days. If you want something good in M&S order it immediately.

I found the app was glitchy over things in stock at our nearest store the other day. Told me they were out of stock everywhere. I changed the postcode to another local one and bingo there were a number in stock.

It's very frustrating. Last year I ordered and paid for a pair of cords, only to be refunded 4 days later and sent an email saying they didn't actually have any in stock after all. I also went in to my local one for something specific as it said online that it was in stock there, only to have the staff tell me they've not bothered putting those items on the shop floor yet and she didn't know where they are in the stock room, so she won't be looking!

They've stopped selling larger items of furniture fairly recently.

Doesn’t really matter if it’s large or small. There’s just in time manufacture.

I miss their own brand make up. Their lipsticks were very good.

For years I found it impossible to buy a swimming costume from them for this reason. I don't even bother looking now.

Yes! Just had a look. They must have decided it was loss making. End of an era.
