Which one(s) you have and how you describe your style?

And your age if you don’t mind?

I have a few pairs of Dr Marten boots, including tartan, green and flowery ones, and those black ones with red roses, plus a pair of sandals.
I am nearly seventy.
I wear them with dresses, jeans and trousers. My style, if I have one, is art teacher/bag lady/boho /lagenlook.

I’m middle aged with an older teen who loves DMs too and I don’t want to steal thunder so I have the fur lined lace up boots. I always had DM shoes through high school and college.
I tend to wear them with cropped or rolled up jeans or a bias cut midi skirt. They’ve replaced my trainers basically.

I'm 30 and have these boots and a pair of the flatform sandals. I did have a pair of Sinclairs, but they were impossible to break in so I ended up selling them on vinted and putting the money towards the audrick ones. I would now never go for any without that sole, they are so soft and spongey and didn't need any breaking in. I can wear them all day and they are absolutely fine

You've posted on the wrong doc martens thread

I have two pairs. A soft black pair with tartan lining and ribbon laces which never needed wearing in and are the comfiest boots I own. Aimilita I think they’re called.

And a bright pink pair in the traditional style which are the most painful things in the world so I never commit to wearing them in and just admire them when I open the wardrobe!

Meant to add I am mid-40s and my style is alternative.

Pieceofpurplesky · 28/11/2024 19:26

Yep. 55. Even wear Mary Jane Docs for work when having to be smart.
Had my first pair for my 13th birthday!

Thanks to the posters who told me about the soft leather versions. I scored a pink version on Vinted last week and they are so wearable.

Mid 40’s
Two pairs of 1460 Serena’s. One pair has a furry tongue and are the most comfortable things ever. They never needed breaking in and I walk miles and miles in them.
The other pair have a leather tongue and feel much more rigid. They’re comfortable ish but I wouldn’t wear them for a long day or a lot of walking. I live in the first pair!

My style is probably best described as scruffy mum 😳
