Which one(s) you have and how you describe your style?

And your age if you don’t mind?

I’m 46

When I came to the UK I fell in love with DMs but was too broke so I used to wear some TKMaxx knockouts but it is not the same🥲

Then I started buying some clarks brogue boots and couldn’t justify DMs

In 2023 I bought the 2976 LEONORE FAUX FUR LINED which I love and just ordered AUDRICK TALL CHELSEA BOOTS on sale

Did anyone else read the title and go "whoa oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh..." if you like it the you should've put a ring on it?

TheBigSalami · 18/11/2024 16:35

I’m 52. I have black lace-up boots (not sure what they’re called, but the leather is soft). I also have 2 pairs of safety boots for work. One is the brown Maple boot and the other is the brown Rosa with the fur top. I love the Rosa style - I’m on my 2nd pair.

Supersimkin7 · 18/11/2024 16:41

1460s, obv. 56.

Mabelface · 18/11/2024 16:53

54, have around 10 pairs of shoes and boots. Wear skinny or mom jeans, t-shirts, checked or plain shirts, oversized hoodies, dungarees. Very short hair with a curly bit front top.

SnackSnack · 18/11/2024 16:59

Ooo my people! I have 1460s for every day, 1490s for concerts or skirts and dreses and Devon Hearts for best. My 1490s have been going about 15 years now. 40's, I like the Manics and my mother cries if she sees me wearing them because she says I should wear dainy shoes. Fuck that.

bunnibee · 18/11/2024 17:08

I have the soft leather loafers, fringe and tassel, took me about 6 trys to get the right ones, hard leather, black, brown, soft leather black, brown, grey, sizes 5 and 6's. Finally settled on the cashew coloured soft leather ones. Age 69 and still a bit 'preppy' in my mode of dress. Cigarette trousers, white shirt kind of thing.

JiminaSlump · 18/11/2024 17:15

I've got 1460s (classic shiny black), and a pair of the two strap flat Mary Janes (can't remember the style name). Love them both, although they can be hard on the heels. I have heel grips in the Mary Janes and just wear big socks in the boots.

Isometimeswonder · 18/11/2024 17:19

I used to. Classic black or oxblood.
But now I'm nearly 50 I feel life is too short to suffer painful feet while breaking them in! I wear similar styles but from Rieker, comfy straight from the box.

I’ve been eyeing up SV shoes for a few years now but never had the excuse to treat myself!

I have some Solovair Chelsea boots and they are great. Like Docs used to be before they started being made in China (out of varnished cardboard, if I'm any judge).

Regarding DMs, I have an ancient pair of dull maroon 1460 boots, a pair of oxblood knee high lace ups, and a pair of plain black 1461s. My style is scruffy (I'm 51): grey cropped hair, jeans, proper wool jumpers.

FranticFrankie · 18/11/2024 17:27

I love my Leonore furry DMs
And my suede clog type DMs; can’t remember the name though
Can’t reveal my age as a woman who tells you her age will tell you anything

MillenialAvocado · 18/11/2024 17:32

I have the Chelsea boots and the sandals. I'm 37

Wherethewildthingsfart · 18/11/2024 17:35

I have lots of dms in various styles.
I’m mid forties and have been wearing them since my teens. I am that dm wearing granny that @RaininSummer aspires to be 😂

My style is changeable but I guess I’m hippy/beatnik/vintage at heart but quite smart now as well which is why I love them, they can be dressed up or down. Today I’m wearing classic dms with smart khaki chinos and a black boxy collarless shirt but over the weekend I wore my pillar box red dm shoes with striped tights and a 60’s style dress.

I really want the new silver boots 🥰

Ghostofborleyrectory · 18/11/2024 17:37

45 years old, worn many DMs but find the quality has decreased- my mum bought me a pair of DM sandals which were very well worn from a car boot sale for a quid, wore them for three years including a very busy three walking day tour of London with my class- other members of staff had blisters in very expensive trainers. I bought new ones and they were binned after one Summer ( were vegan though) Bought a new pair of boots in the sale and just so uncomfortable. I love Buffalo boots for bouncy platforms and so easy to wear.

Worldgonecrazy · 18/11/2024 17:46

I bought my first pair in my 50s. They’re 1460 style but a heavy black canvas material from the Kids range. I wear them with skinny jeans.

They are okay but my Converse are more comfortable.

My style is ‘whatever I feel like wearing that day depending on weather’, i do every thing from cashmere roll necks in winter to slinky vest tops in summer. Sometimes I go rock-chick and other times school governess.

OliviaRodrighost · 18/11/2024 17:48

Oh, I just remembered I have a pair of baby pink patent leather 1460 but I’ve never been able to break them in which I’ve since heard is a problem with the patent ones. Can’t bear to get rid of them because they’re so cute but they’re just painful. I’ve only worn them a few times for a short amount of time.

Growlybear83 · 18/11/2024 17:51

I've got three pairs of floral Pascal DMs. I don't wear them very often but always enjoy them when I do. I only wear them with jeans - I never ever wear any sort of ankle boots with skirts. I'm 66

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 18/11/2024 17:55

These are mine. I deliberated a lot before I bought them but I wear them all the time. And I get loads of compliments over them. 43

I have black pascals which I wear with jeans or dresses. I would wear them more, but my socks keep slipping inside very annoyingly! If anyone has a solution to that I'd love to hear it. Same issue with my purple suede ones.
I'm 65.

AllMyExesWearRolexes · 18/11/2024 17:58

Solovair are great, like Doc's used to be. I have 8 hole "Gaucho Crazy Horse" leather and 11 hole oxbloods.

ladymalfoy45 · 18/11/2024 17:58

Only one of each. Really want a new pair of Cherry Red.

LastNightMyPJsSavedMyLife · 18/11/2024 18:00

1460s in various colours. Apply lots of leather oil or coltsfoot oil to soften them and make them easy to break in. DP does mine. I'm 56.

That's an idyllic pic @LastNightMyPJsSavedMyLife !

MaMisled · 18/11/2024 18:04

I'm 58 and just bought a pair of second hand cherry red Flora Chelsea boots from Ebay. Already worn in for me and very comfortable!

DJSteves · 18/11/2024 18:09

48 years old. Today I wore an ox blood pair of Adrian Loafers that I've had for six years. They still look new
