Will an airwrap work on my mane?

My hair is awful - HUGE, frizzy, flyaway. Hate it. Whenever I go to the hairdressers I ask for a smooth blow with some movement at the ends which looks nice but I absolutely cannot recreate this at home. Help.

Will an airwrap work on my mane?

Have you tried kera straightening? I'd recommend that.

My sister gave me her air wrap as it doesn't work that well on her hair. She is half Indian and has thick curly hair and she says the only way to tame it is with heat damage 😂 I have fine fluffy straight hair with some waves and it works wonders on mine. Yours looks wavy but quite soft and fine (not thin there's a difference!) so I think it would work really well on yours!

I would defo not describe my hair as fine - anything but!!

My hair is similar to yours (but a bit less wave) - long, thick, lots of it, and will frizz at the slightest hint of moisture in the air.

I have the Airwrap and the Shark Flexstyle.

The Airwrap curling wrapping barrels make my hair frizzy. The Shark ones make it smooth 💁🏻‍♀️

The round blow dry brush on them both is too big. I bought the smaller one for the Shark as a separate item and that’s good for volume with a bit of a wave / movement on the ends.

I got my Airwrap about half price from CEx (used, but in such good clean condition you’d never know). I still feel like I wasted money on it.

I use the Shark regularly.

It will work, but any curl / wave / sleekness you achieve with it will drop within minutes.

I'm talking from personal experience 😫, learn from my expensive mistake!

In salon keratin treatment is the way forward. Ridiculously expensive though ...

Your hair just looks like normal hair to me, I must have very low standards! It looks healthy and the waves are lovely.

The airwrap and airstraight (depending on how your hair takes a style!) could be your best friend. I absolutely love mine and they're a total game changer, my hair looks put together rather than fly away all of the time.

For a smooth blow out I use my airstraight, then a GHD rise to flick out the ends for movement - or use the giant barrels on the airwrap and comb through with my fingers when still warm.

I do have to use a few products (I have so many flyaways naturally!) but it's the best my hair has ever looked.

I have fine wavy hair and had a similar experience to one of the previous posters. Hair looks great for about half an hour then the style just drops. I've tried mousse, hairspray etc. just doesn't hold a style.
It's not been worth the money for me.

I think your hair has a lovely colour and looks in good condition. Do you go to a hairdresser who specialises in curly/wavy hair?

Is it coloured and what products do you use?
