Tried Vinted- sent wrong items

I tried Vinted. Ordered 2 items from different sellers - a top and a blazer. A week later and I've got a pair of shoes and a jumper!

Is this common? What a faff! One of the sellers is now on holiday apparently.

Bought a ton....never been sent the wrong items.
Although I did once think I had but it turned out I had gotten a neighbours parcel by mistake. I was so embarrassed that I'd opened it!

That’s really odd. I’ve bought literally hundreds of things from vinted and probably received the wrong item 3 or 4 times. Once was an inpost error and the others were seller error but like I say, that’s out of hundreds of purchases.

The first person has replied and apologised- paid for the return. The other is the one in holiday!

Yes it's happened to me twice this year. One time the seller used a digital label and we think InPost added the wrong label when they collected it from the seller's drop-off locker. The other time a seller put the wrong label on my parcel and messaged me immediately after she'd sent it and realised so I just didn't collect it and it was returned to her.

I've never been sent the wrong item but I did have a sales assistant swap parcel labels, meaning that items I was sending went to the wrong addresses.

It was really faffy as one item got lost on it's way to me and whilst I got them back in the end (and the buyers got their refunds) I haven't been able to sell them since.

I always make sure to put my own labels on now!

it does happen i’m on a vinted fb group and sellers are often asking what to do because they’ve sent the wrong item..

I had this happen recently, but as a seller. I chose a digital label and the Inpost courier attached the wrong label, so my buyer received someone else's parcel.

It took over a month for Vinted to "investigate" and for me to receive reimbursement, but only in the form of a goodwill gesture, and not by putting their compensation scheme into practice.

Inpost on the other hand, admitted their mistake, but said it was Vinted who would handle the reimbursement, and that they (Vinted) had clear instructions on how to do this. Hmmm...
