I'm trying to grow my hair I haven't had it cut for 5 months i went today to have a cut and I'm so upset I feel like I'm back to wear it started. It's to my collarbone now.
How often should I get it cut to grow it ? Trying to grow it for a wedding next year

How much did you have cut off?

Cuppachuchu · 11/11/2024 18:51

Unless you have bad split ends don't get it cut at all.

Had a few split ends but she said it be better with a blunt cut to make it look thicker

Next time hopefully you won't need as much now you have the shape how you like it

I haven't had mine cut for two years now, growing it from short to long. I did have extensions to get me over the ugly stage.

Even when I have a millimetre cut off, it feels like ten inches. I feel like it just bounces up and then comes down within a few days. I'm sure it's an optical illusion so don't worry too much.

I had the same kind of problem, trying to grow my hair longer, going to get a trim to keep it in good condition every 3 months or so, and they'd always take too much off and it never really got longer.

This pattern stopped when I stopped going to the hairdresser regularly. And I can do that because I use plenty of Olaplex to keep it in really good condition.

It's now been a year since my last trim and I have no split ends. But I'll go get a trim just to keep the ends blunt, makes it look thicker.

What oplex do you use please
I've been taking biotin tablets for a few weeks which hopefully will help
