I've gained a few lbs and am now a size 16-18 more 18 tbh and need more clothes. Feel Awfully frumpy. 5'6 pear and large tum and thick legs. Help me with a nice outfit for a weekend away out.

Think bath Christmas markets, mulled wine and a nice dinner and several alehouses

First weekend of December. What would you wear?

I meant the whole thing shoes coats bags accessories. And where can I buy it from.

Will be lots of walking so must be comfortable and don't plant to change for evening. Not bothered about being festive.

Look at M&S online for brands like live unlimited, they have some nice 'going out' clothes

If you really are going to Bath (I’m very envious) you want a Weekend MaxMara look … Beginning with this:

knitted dress

and the boots shown. Knee high boots would also be lovely but incompatible with:

wide leg velvet trousers

As you haven’t given a budget I can only suggest you browse the whole site and adapt this sort of look for your preferred price point.

(In truth Bath is so packed with tourists there really isn’t an overriding dress code for the city - but it does have a well dressed ‘country’ feel. Just be sure to wear sturdy, comfortable footwear if you’ll be doing any walking at all - hilly streets, cobbles, steps …)

Next do some lovely wide leg pull on cord trousers. H and M do good value silk look shirts. With trainers and a coat this would look good. Uniglo have some good knitted dresses which are so easy to wear. If you need, as I do, wide calf boots I got a lovely pair from Next recently which were a good price.
