I’m a mis brown and my colourist suggests lighter as you age to suit your complexion

just saw a pic of Mary archer (79) with very dark hair which looks odd

whats yours like?

Gone lighter but it's due to grey roots rather than specifically getting older.

I did with my last hairdresser as she was a bit forceful but I just don't suit it. My current hairdresser accepts that I prefer being darker.

I went blonde (normally v dark blonde) but I've just toned it down to a copper blonde.
I think the lighter blonde was too much, esp with my black eyebrows!

I gradually went lighter as the grey increased, having previously had dark brown hair.

I noticed my skin tone was changing as I got older so I think it was a good move, though I never felt completely 'me' with lighter hair.

Now completely grey and I would look awful with dark brown hair, but I still sort of miss it!

I’m naturally dark blonde and have grey temples now so have introduced some lighter blonde to blend them.

Ha I've just gone deep red/ black. 61. Love it!
