Help-no clue what to wear- over 30's club night

I am to an over 30's club night- 90's/00's dance music, glowsticks etc
I have no clue what to wear or where to look for something to wear, I haven't been out clubbing in so long lol.
I'm size 16/18 and 5ft 3 and don't like wearing heels.

Please Help I need a complete outfit as I don't have anything suitable ☹️

I'd wear some really baggy combat type pants with a brightly coloured t-shirt or vest. Loads of daft plastic jewellery and some glow in the dark makeup! With trainers. Heels would be shite at a rave anyway. You want to be cool and comfortable. And don't bring a big coat as the cloakroom queue might be horrendous.

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in, no one else will even notice. I go to loads of these events and there’s people there dressed up to the absolute nines and people there wearing tracksuits, it’s totally your own choice.

FWIW I usually assemble something with sequins because I like to sparkle and normally wear trainers or DMs.

This sounds perfect.

If you want another idea in the 90s I use to wear a bright white (looks good in the uv ) slip dress with trainers. Cool and comfy. Good for dancing.

There's a lot of 90s stuff back in. I use to also wear a see though (mesh) black long sleeve top with a bra underneath. And combats. But might be a bit warmer. And maybe too risqué for everyone. I've seen lots of similar tops about at the moment plus the big combats.

I would take a coat and brave any queue. If you're over 30 you'll feel the cold unlike a teen/early 20 something!!!!! 👨‍🏫

Yeah DD went clubbing last night and wore combats and what was basically a bikini top… it was like looking at myself 25 years ago 🤣👌🏼

@CrazyAndSagittarius Re: the coat sitch- I'm running on the theory they'll be getting to and from there in a taxi. Hopefully no walks of shame like in the 90s!
White slip dress and trainers would be great though. And if a coat is definitely required then a puffa or fishtail parka. 🤣

I do sequins and DMs as well. You can wear what you want really, they are really fun nights. Enjoy.

Turmerictolly · 09/11/2024 16:34

I went to one recently and there were quite a few sequin tops and dresses but plenty of T-shirts, trousers and trainers. Not many glow sticks or people 'dressed' up as 90's.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
@BobbyBiscuits there will definately be no walk of shame the next morning 😂

@Minnie123456 haha, awesome. Have a great time! I wish I could go out raving again! 🤣 X

PeachyKeane · 09/11/2024 22:55

I'm 54 and go out raving still.... that's why I do my pilates so I'm fit enough to dance all night.
