Tallow - any good?

Has anyone used natural tallow as a moisturiser? Heard of a few people talking about it lately and I’m fed up with Nivea after they’ve changed the formula of my beloved sensitive night moisturiser so now it reeks of fishy plastic 🤢 so I need a plan B.

I’ve just started using Monderma and need something soft, hydrating and pillow-y to stave off the tret peeling. I love a new skincare ingredient to obsess over and thought that this could be it….

Yes, and I am impressed with it.
My combination skin does not break out and my pigmentation marks are fading.
A little goes a long way too, so it's good value.

Natural tallow is amazing for your skin. Couldn't go there myself as a lifelong non-meateater, but I think it's a really good 'nose to tail' idea.

Ah I have found my people. Thank you. @Popcorn63 what brand do you use? Does it have a short shelf-life if it’s all natural? Curious about the smell too.

I got it to use on my daughter's skin (has been amazing for her eczema) and ended up using it myself too. Use it as a night time moisturiser as it is quite thick, but doesn't clog pores at all and my skin has been great. As PP said, great value for money as lasts for ages.

I use Hayes Meadow. It doesn't go off or anything. Occasionally goes grainy if it gets cold, but if you heat it slightly and stir it returns to smooth again.

I'm in Australia so I buy locally made products, mainly unscented so it's neutral.
I keep mine in the fridge, so no issues with spoiling.

I've been using it (Ancestral cosmetics) and my skin looks great. It's got a melted candle consistency so quite thick but quickly melts into my skin and a little goes a long way. Doesn't smell of beef, which someone else asked me about!

I use it too.

I like fierce nature one

I’ve bought some for my son’s skin as he gets so dry and itchy on his body and cheeks, it’s been amazing. I’m tempted to share the face cream with him over the winter as it’s so nice.

I’ve used The Fat Cow company, really impressed.
