Static hair help

I have long wavy uncoloured hair (no grey...yet) I usually straighten it to wear down or in a ponytail but it always ends up static and flyaway! Any products I could use to stop this from happening? Currently using deep moisture shampoo and conditioner and a soray on conditioner on damp hair after washing. Should I use a serum on it? Or a mist of hairspray over it? I don't want anything too heavy as my hair is quite fine and will get greasy quickly with too much product. Any tips greatly appreciated before I give up and shave it all off!

I find my hair is a lot less static if I make sure my clothes are washed in fabric conditioner. I read somewhere before that hair static can be linked to what you wear so I tried it and it worked.

Re product for your hair, no idea! Sorry.

I would recommend L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary oil. Its not heavy/greasy and really makes a difference. I use it pretty much every day.
