As the skirt is detailed, I'd keep the rest of the outfit simple to let the skirt be the focal point, so:

A merino roll neck, like this:

a long line quite fitted top in a plain colour that would co-ordinate so either white, black, grey as a starterd.

Thanks everyone - a jumper hadn't occurred to me! That would work well.

I get quite hot on nights out which is when I would probably wear this. How about a bodysuit of some sort? I think a semi sheer white T shirt might look nice too?

I am very short in the body so tucking in looks a lot better on me.

My answer is always boots. Brown in this case.
