My daughter has expressed an interest in this. It's way over budget so it's a hard no but is their any alternatives?
I liked the look of the mark hill one but there seems to be no available attachments for stuff like mermaid hair for example. Mark hill do the interchangeable barrel styler but it hasn't got the air dryer on.

Anyone help me please?

She will be using it to dry, straighten and curl her hair. She has naturally curly hair.

How old is she? I found over the years with mine that if they really want something like a GHD or some other ridiculously expensive brand a substitute won’t go down well. Been there! Would you consider a second hand Dyson? I see them for sale a lot. Or Shark do a good one.

There was a thread on the site earlier in the year - Dupes worth their money or some such, if you can find that, I dont know how to do such a search, there was a Murphy Richard or some such brand that was getting rave reviews

I just bought a shark dryer, and Im over the moon with it so Shark may be worth a look ( my local electrical store stock only shark and Dyson )

However as a PP has said, when it comes to teens, labels mean everything. Id be pointing out how many are coming up for sale - used - and see if that makes her do a bit more research

She's 16 and isn't bothered too much about brands. She just liked the look of it for what it does. If it was my other daughter then brands matter 😆.
