Have you tried polar dye shampoo?

Looks too good to be true and it probably is. But the thought of cutting down on time and expense dyeing my greys is too enticing. Good reviews online but could easily be fake.

Anyone here actually tried it?

I'm not convinced, just looked at the website and lots of 'instant hair dye, just use like a shampoo' claims. Then you read the instructions and you put it on wet hair and leave it for 10 mins, you do this every time you wash your hair, so it's basically just a Wash in, Wash out dye which has been around decades, my mum used to use the Wella one a couple of times a week, and they sell in Superdrug for £2.99.

You could be right b
ut the polar shampoo seems to target grey hair....the wash in wash outs don't tend to work on grey hair...I didn't think.

I've used the superdrug ones on grey hair, and while it does dye it, it doesn't look great. It goes very yellow / red depending on what shade you choose, I think because it's designed to work with an underlying colour that grey doesn't have. I tried mixing them and all sorts but it really wasn't good.

I've been using the plantur 39 brown shampoo that's supposed to blend away greys after someone recommended it in here, but tbh that has gone a bit too yellow/ginger too.

Plantur 39 do a grey one too, something about oxidising dye or something, haven't tried that one but it looked a bit orange in some review photos on amazon.

I'm not really sure there is anything out there that's wash in wash out and looks natural.
