How would you style these trousers?

Albaray cord trousers either for the school run or working from home. It’s the footwear in particular I’m unsure of. I don’t like loafers and need to be comfortable. Would White trainers work?

I'd wear them over flat boots.

Ankle boots or lace up leather shoes. No to white, needs to be dark coloured

Do you think brown would work better than black?

Not really but try it and see (it will depend on the shade - dark brown would be better than lighter tan).

I like those. Trainers, boots, brogues would all be fine.

Burgundy and dark brown is a great colour combination (not tan, as PP says).
