Lipstick colour

Is there anywhere where a beauty professional will help me choose a lipstick? I've never really had much luck with the colours I choose but I've embraced my grey hair recently so I feel like my colour palette has changed anyway. I've gone from cherry brown to blondy/grey.

I feel so out of touch with make up in general. Tried watching video tutorials but they just scare me with how much stuff you need and it always looks flakey.

I just want to look nice on a night out.

I've had really good service at Charlotte tilbury counters where they've helped me with this, and once at MAC. I've found MAC sales assistants often disinterested in me as a fat 40 something but last time I tried the girl who served me was absolutely great and took the time to help me find what I was looking for

I’ve had good success and Bobbi Brown and Chanel.

Selfridges Beauty Concierge Makeover (Scroll down) is what you want.

I think it’s available in most branches. Price redeemable against purchases. And change of hair colour would be an excellent reason to try it.

Second Chanel. Yesterday I tried three on with no pressure to buy.

Boots no 7 not only can tell you what shade foundation but what shade lipstick too.

I agree with the Chanel recommendations. They are very helpful and keep going until they find the perfect shade. Never had a dud shade

A vote for Bobbi Brown from me! I love their lipstick formulations and have always found the counter staff non-pushy and helpful. Good luck!

Yes agree with this. Their foundation match for me was brilliant, I still wear it nearly 10 years later. With it they suggested a couple of lipsticks. One is a lovely pink, the red tone I'm not so wild about but I can see that it suits me, it's just not my style
