Bday dinner restaurant what would you wear?

I'm taking DP out for his birthday for drinks, dinner and maybe a local gig after and don't know what I feel like wearing!

What would you wear? It's a nice restaurant, contemporary rather than long established, Michelin star, not sure what the band will be.

I usually go for a bit of a rock/ boho/ vintage style, a lot of natural fabrics. Boots rather than heels as a health issue is affecting my balance.

Not looking for new purchase suggestions as I have too many clothes as it is! More being nosy and looking for ideas about what to put on. Thanks xx

I’m very much a “dress girl”, l love my dresses, but we are all different. My choice would be a LBD with a scooped back.

Well without knowing what clothes you own it's a bit difficult to say, but I'd probably go for either a black mini skirt with sheer tights and boots, probably with a black t-shirt or thin jumper on top. Or spaghetti strap cami top with a slip skirt. Or a knit co-ord, but that would probably be a bit warm for a gig.

Thanks both, like the sound of all those! I'm happy he has an autumn birthday as it's such a nice season to dress for. I usually like dresses but am maybe thinking black leather mini and strappy cami and Laura Ashley blouse over the top (80s cream Edwardian type one)

I would go with boots, tights and a dress.

Or, smart trendy trousers that compliment the boots and a dressy top. I'm not a fan of mini skirts, but that's just me.

Nothing with a fitted waist is my advice!
