Wool blend, calf-length wrap coat recommendations

Hi everyone,

I've spent hours looking for the perfect winter coat and haven't yet found it, so I'm hoping for some Mumsnet magic!

I'm looking for the following:

• Grey or beige/neutral (but not too warm toned), would consider navy
• Wool blend (60%+ wool)
• Preferably wrap style or tailored with a belt to cinch it in at the waist
• Calf length (not knee length or just below, but proper calf length)
• Up to £250

I feel like it should be an easy ask but I am struggling, most of the options I find aren't as long as I would like.

This & Other Stories coat is the best I have so far but I'm not sure on the neck and whether I'd prefer a more classic type fit. This Max Mara coat would be great if 1/3rd of the price 😬

I'd look on Reiss for this type of coat.

I've got this from Brandalley in black and it's lovely. Unlined (which I love). The only surprising thing is that there are no loops for the belt, so I'm getting some put in by an alterations person. But it's a lovely flattering coat.

Hi OP, I have this one, but in black. It’s a lovely coat to wear.

Other Stories

Have you tried Jigsaw? Would be a little over budget full price I think but they often have discount codes etc.
Whistles and Cos might be worth a look too.

I was going to suggest either Cos or Other Stories for that kind of coat. Worth searching on John Lewis website too as they have quite a selection at different price points - such as this one maybe?

Have you looked at phase eight? They had some great coats when I was in there last week. Think they might have 20% off at the moment too

Don't buy a Cos coat, they're crap quality ime

Have you looked at Mango? I have a charcoal one from last year and they have a few this style again in different colours. Price around £175-200
