The perfect jeans

Hello !! I am on the hunt for some straight leg jeans but don't want a wide leg, which a lot of them seem to be on me , even if they don't state they are . I would like a pair that fits snugly on the bum, but then slightly looser on the leg. I seem to remember levis 501s used to be like this in the 80s and 90s , or am I wrong ? I used to love topshop baxter jeans but can't get them any more. Before I start trying on copious numbers of pairs again in the baking heat of the shops, can someone please point me in the right direction? Would like a mid wash blue. No rips or major detail. I'm size 12, 5ft 5" if that makes any difference. Thanks !

They still do make 501's. Is there a shop near you that sells levi's? I recently bought the 'cheeky straight', but to me they are more of a mom cut, with a slight taper towards the ankle.

The only thing is they don't have any stretch, so are a bit uncomfy for an active day.

If they sell Mavi jeans in UK, the Victoria jeans are nice.
