I've stalking the Chintia and Parker website for their new Christmas jumpers and they have arrived! I'd love nearly everyone of them, but will be ordering at least 3!!

If you have this much disposable income it would be kind to donate at Christmas if you could. Plenty of families need some support at this time. Also homeless charities

Newnameadd · 24/10/2024 16:23

Underwhelming for the price. I wouldn't spend that on a Christmas jumper.

PuppiesProzacProsecco · 24/10/2024 16:25

I honestly thought this thread was tongue in cheek till OP spat the dummy 😂

Larrythebloodycat · 24/10/2024 16:25

Primark aesthetic at ridiculous prices.

notprincehamlet · 24/10/2024 16:27

And why do Christmas jumpers have to be crap
It's what Jesus would want

Bignanna · 24/10/2024 16:30

OP if you can bear it, go to Primark - Their designs are great and they don’t fall to bits after one wear. Of course it’s your choice to pay over the top prices, but why when there are plenty that are cheaper and fun!

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 24/10/2024 15:48

Brings new meaning to “kiss me under the mistletoe”…

Hehehehehe

Might buy it just for that reason...

PrincessHoneysuckle · 24/10/2024 16:52

They look similar to supermarket ones I've seen

LouH5 · 24/10/2024 16:57

I agree with the poster who mentioned Sainsbury’s for Christmas jumpers, I get a new one from there every year and they are about £20-£30. And way nicer than the ones on that website, the ones on there just look so boring. And all the ones with Snoopy (at least I think it’s Snoopy!) are just…no.

I also agree it’s a braggy post, it was just so unnecessary, so “look at me, I can afford three of these boring expensive jumpers!” Here’s the applause you wanted 👏🏼

FusilliGerri · 24/10/2024 16:57

AndSoFinally · 24/10/2024 16:17

There's a cashmere sweater for a child on there. Who is buying cashmere for a child??!

It's 'only' 10% cashmere.

FriendlyNeighbourhoodAccountant · 24/10/2024 16:58

Gosh, I think they're awful. They all look like pyjama tops.

DieDreiHexen · 24/10/2024 17:01

Are slogan jumpers a thing this year? I've not worn one since I was about twelve.

My preferred 'Christmas jumper' is a trusty red Brora sweater with a small green bow grudgingly pinned on for the festive season. I'm very much not OP's brands target market.

This wouldn't do at my work 'comedy Christmas sweater' party last year and so some young scamp kitted me out in an acrylic festive Yoda monstrosity. I'm still having flashbacks.

amoreoamicizia · 24/10/2024 17:11

What has wasting 300 pounds on rubbish jumpers got to do with the birth of Jesus? Nothing, that's what.

stayathomer · 24/10/2024 17:17

Op just looked and they look awful quality, as others have said please donate half of what you would have paid instead

Lentilweaver · 24/10/2024 17:22

They look like those Bella Freud slogan jumpers.

359fj · 24/10/2024 17:24

RobinEllacotStrike · 24/10/2024 15:37

I get Xmas jumpers from the charity shop

Me too! Can't bring myself to buy something new that will be worn perhaps a couple of times, so I buy from a charity shop and re-donate it the following year.

namechange1986 · 24/10/2024 17:25

I clicked the link thinking people were exaggerating, but nope they look like cheap tat.

Shityshitybangbang · 24/10/2024 17:39

why aren’t you bragging? Of course you are. Your prob one of these folk who loves to tell everyone how much you earn.

BodyKeepingScore · 24/10/2024 17:41

The most boring Christmas jumpers I've ever seen. And the most blatant marketing 🙄

dudsville · 24/10/2024 17:43

AllThePotatoesAreSingingJingleBells · 24/10/2024 14:40

Very nice. Far too minimalist for me. I don’t see the point in wearing a Christmas jumper if it doesn’t make other people embarrassed to be seen with me.

A member of my extended family once had a hat, some sort of green felt fedora with a Christmas tree on it that lit up. She was only in the family temporarily, and has long since passed, but I remember her and this hat with great fondness, whilst also cringing just a tiny bit, which would have made her proud!

SunnieShine · 24/10/2024 17:45

Aposterhasnoname · 24/10/2024 14:50

Now this is much more like it. Christmas jumpers are supposed to be crap, that’s the entire point of them.

It is indeedy. 🎄⛄🎅

downwindofyou · 24/10/2024 17:46

Thudercatsrule · 24/10/2024 15:18

@Beeinalily Yes i am quite sophisticated, thank you for notching, its appreciated.

@TeenLifeMum I have so much sense, but obv lost it for a while thinking i could put something on MN without getting mostly negative replies.

@Shityshitybangbang How?

I'd want nicer product for £250. I realise it's not a high price for cashmere but Chinti & Parker cashmere is a bit shit IMO. It's scratchy, pills and stretches out which suggests short fibres. AKA cheap cashmere.
I've had better cashmere from COS. Scratchy cashmere is rubbish

Thommasina · 24/10/2024 17:47

They are so underwhelming.

EnoughNowIThinkSo · 24/10/2024 17:49

They look like cheap tat to me but they are actually expensive tat
