I love this and wear it daily

Altruist available on Amazon. Developed by dermatologists and kept at a very affordable price point.

Ultrasun Face. Lots of different formulations (cream, lotion, with and without tint etc..) SPF 30, 40 and 50. And it's once a day, so you won't need to top up the sunscreen like you would with others. Available in loads of places, now.

I keep going back to the Aldi one , regenest or something like that in a red tub. It's factor 30. Everything else breaks me out. It's inexpensive too

Deathraystare · 24/10/2024 12:13

I recently bought the Garnier serum SPF 50 with vitamin C. You can wear it on its own or put moisturiser underneath as I do. I normally cannot wear vitamin C but this is fine.

La roche posay is good. Here goes my routine:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Evening:
La roche posay moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

I use Biore which has a gel consistency and sinks into the skin beautifully without a white cast. It’s SPF50, and has a lovely smell. Doesn’t make me break out either.

Dogpawssmellgreat · 24/10/2024 15:42

I would recommend a separate spf over any moisturiser op. You need a good layer. I like ultra Violette

As recommended by the doctor who removed skin cancer from my face!

I have used that and its good

I've always used the Vichy face ones (the blemish one) but recently been tempted away by some cheaper offerings. The L'Oréal niacinamide one is good and often on offer for £10. I've just got the Garnier niacinamide one too which is also good but less moisturising.
Skincare companies seem to have really upped their game with spf recently.

Deathraystare · 25/10/2024 14:51

Forgot to mention, the Garnier Vitamin C serum with SPR 50 has a tint. I noticed when I popped a drop on my finger that it looked a bit beige and when I cleansed my face last night it looked like I had had foundation on my face! Duh!! I do like it though. I have tried a few other vitamin c's on my face and my face does not like them. Not a genuine sensitivity but an uncomfortable feeling none the less.

I use the Biore one too, as well as La Roche Posay.

Superdrug vitamin E is good too, very cheap, but only SPF 15.

Another fan of Ultra Violette here, or also Thank You Farmer water sun cream.

Covidwoes · 25/10/2024 21:12

I use this OP. Really reasonable (and on offer at the moment).

Sorry OP just realised that link looks dodgy! If you'd prefer do search for it yourself, it is called 'Revolution' moisturiser, 'oily' (for oily skin). It has SPF 30.

Guavafish1 · 29/10/2024 07:41

Thanks all - I will look into it

Aesop do a lovely one which is SPF 50. It is pricey though.
