Looking for inspiration as I've spent most of the past year in jeans or scrubs (hospital work) and no longer know how to do dressing-up for parties.
I've a couple of work-related parties/networking events over December, so starting to think about what to wear...
For background, I'm in the late-30s to just-40s age range, usually size 12. Style-wise, kind of post-goth, lots of black. I have no idea what's cool anymore and my DC's no help because they think everything should have unicorns or dinosaurs on it... (I like unicorns and dinosaurs but I also want to look like a grown-up again). I used to be able to wear skyscraper heels but realistically have been in DMs for the past year so probably a lower heel is less likely to lead to disaster...
Please inspire me?
