Me + Em

Like a few things in Me + Em but very expensive! Any views on whether it's worth paying more for quality, longer lasting, better styling etc?

I used to really like it. The quality is good and the cut tends to be amazing. However, agree the price rise is now extortionate. I tried some gorgeous velvet trousers on yesterday but they were around £275 and same for a jumper!

Occasionally you can find something reasonable - some of their summer dresses were priced ok.

Their knitwear and denim is good quality in my experience, but not sure it’s worth paying full price. I generally wait for the sales and see what’s left that I like. It’s a bit hit and miss colour wise - some collections are just not colours I’d wear.

I’ve been really disappointed in the quality lately, I’ve had a layering blouse and a couple of layering vests and they are all really thin and cheap material that literally only works with a jumper over the top. It doesn’t fit nicely or feel nice.

I know that’s the point of them, but I’ve got similar from Baukjen which are much nicer, heavier material which I’m not ashamed to wear on their own when it gets warm enough to take a layer off.

The Me + Em ones are comparable to Hush for quality (ie crap) and they look like Primark rags after the first wash.

I used to love Me+Em, but everything I’ve bought recently has been a fail, especially for the top half.

I have a lot of stuff from Me and Em and in general it is very good quality. Their silk items in particular just fall beautifully. However, I do think it is often overpriced and unless it is something for a special occasion and I desperately want it, I generally wait for their sales (which are pretty good).

I have a lot of early Me & Em pieces and they are lovely hardwearing and going strong. More recently the quality has nosedived. I bought what looked like a great dress and despite it being very roomy the seams split on the second wearing. Same happened with the replacement too.
