What should I wear with the sequinned tasselled skirt?

I will wear this skirt with boots and a big grey jumper/cardigan in the day/going out... but Im struggling with how I should style it for my firm's Xmas party? Not sure that the way that M&S have styled it is going to work.

I don't want to show my forearms. I'm brunette, 5'4 size 12 with a bit of a tummy. all suggestions welcome, thank you MN

Light grey cashmere jumper

This ^ would be my option too with this skirt.
Not sure about white but it depends on your colouring, more likely black or other dark colour. Some jewellery in style of the skirt, earrings perhaps.

What about something velvet or silky in a jewel colour like emerald or bright pink?

If you scroll to the bottom of the M&S page you can see "if you liked this ..." suggestions, one of which is a different metallic silver skirt worn with a simple black silk shirt and looks amazing, think it would look great with your skirt too

A bright satin blouse and heels

The skirt is very dressy, so I would opt for a plain black top or body, long sleeved and close fitting.
High black heels, and silver jewelry.

I had the non-tassled version last Christmas and wore it with grey platform boots and a white cashmere jumper.

I have a silver sequin skirt and I wear a black fine knit boat neck jumper tucked in.

Have a look at Stacey Solomon’s Instagram, she recently wore a skirt similar to this with a white silky shirt tucked in and looked lovely.

@Meanwhile33 what a gorgeous top, too much for me and this skirt, but I love it, especially the back buttons. Stacey Solomon - fabulous, will take a look at a white/ivory silk blouse, I have the M&S black one so will try that to see how it looks.

I'll also ry the simple black tops that I already have.
