Didriksons Coat leaking at seams

ThreeB · 20/10/2024 20:56

I bought a Didriksons coat last year but it is not letting in water at most of the seams. For any Didriksons owners, a) is this common and b) can I fix it or is my coat a goner?

It is not letting water? That's good right?

I’ve only owned one Didrikson (which I bought at the charity shop) and it’s watertight. In fact today I stood at rugby in the pissing downpour, and although my legs were wet through to my socks, my coat kept my upper body totally dry.

I’ve had mine for around 7 years, and dh has had one for a similar length of time and they’ve never leaked. It should not be leaking. Can you contact them?

I’ve had mine for around four years and it’s just started leaking at the seams.
It still looks great though 😂

I’d be getting in touch with them OP. Either through the shop where you purchased it or online.
For the money this shouldn’t be happening. I have two Didrikson coats and they’re brilliant. You must have got a dud one somehow.

assume not is a typo for now.

I’ve had several and they have been watertight. Have you washed it, and if so did you use bio washing detergent. I use woolite or similar, line dry, then cool iron.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to Didriksons this morning and they've recommended I try ironing it to reactivate the tape. It's now been added to Hubbys ironing pile 😂
