Petite thermal everyday leggings, not sport/yoga style

I’m 5’. I tried M&S heatgen leggings yesterday and although I’m a size 8/10, even their 6 was too high on waist, with spare material over stomach. Also way too long and felt like they’d get quickly out of shape. I got size 12 in their heatgen turtleneck tops which fit fine, so the sizing seems mad. I’d like leggings that fit are cosy, and that I can wear on their own with a jumper in milder weather or under jeans in really cold weather. Any recommendations really appreciated.

I have had some nice leggings from Lovall (formerly Love Leggings) although some of their products are better than others. They have some thermal leggings advertised at the moment.

Thanks for this. I saw theirs come up when I searched for petite thermal leggings but had never heard of them. Good to have a recommendation. I’ll go like at their site.

Or try Uniqlo or ice breaker

I like Lovall too, I mostly wear their lightweight high waisted as find they wear the best and are nice and soft and stretchy. Not as much of a fan of their normal weight leggings and haven't tried the thermal ones.

At your size, why not try children's ranges? This is a bit of the size guide FYI from M&S

Try the M and S Heatgen leggings from the kids section. I am petite and bought some tops and I think some leggings from the range.

I’m 5ft and have Uniqlo ones in their smallest size. I tuck the bottoms under an inch or two. The waist sits highish but not ridiculously so and no crotch bagginess.

Alternatively New Look or H&M teen sizes (tho quality hit and miss). Or Next teen sizes. Or online petite New Look. There are so few petite ranges and they’re limited tho.

Thanks so much everyone. I buy a lot from uniqlo but the reviews of their thermal leggings looked very mixed. I never even thought of tryIng the M&S kids ones. What a great idea . I’ll try them when I’m in town next week. I’ll order some uniqlo ones too. On the website the heat tech ones looked more like skinny jeans than leggings somehow which put me off a bit. I’ll check out Pixie girl too. I’m sure to get sorted between all these places.
