No. They look like a DIY polish job.

EllaPaella · 17/10/2024 09:26

Hmmm they don't look great to be totally honest.. I think you could do a better job yourself with polish and a top coat.

i don’t think they look great either but to be fair it was only my second attempt at doing nails. 💅

I think you could get away with them apart from
the thumb.

leli · 17/10/2024 09:41

Look brilliant to me! I’d never notice them being fake.

DimplesToadfoot · 17/10/2024 10:03

They look like a novice home paint job and quite natural :-)

I went through a stage of being allergic to pretty much everything so if i wanted painted nails I had to use fake nails, I used to stick them to the end of a pencil with bluetack, then I'd paint and let them dry completely before attaching them. I had a few sets done in advance so I could grab and go

Luckily my allergies went after a couple of years and I can paint my own again

Mumofnetters · 17/10/2024 10:04

They look awful. Sorry but I’d remove and start again. I know you said you’re practising but they are messy and obvious

No they look like a bad home job

SnapdragonToadflax · 17/10/2024 10:38

They don't look like press-ons, but they do need a tidy up.

I highly recommend getting a very fine angled eyeliner brush, and dip that in nail polish remover (preferably with acetone) then sweep it around your cuticle on the edges. It makes a world of difference.

Will do. Thanks

No, but it looks as through you're new to using a hammer.

A hammer? I’m confused lol

I think it looks fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ But what do I know, my nails are a ‘bad home job’ too 😂

If you accidently hit your finger with a hammer, your nail can go black and ultimately fall off. 😱

Comedycook · 17/10/2024 16:56

I don't think that they look like press ons. Did you paint them yourself? That doesn't look particularly great to be honest....you can buy nails in a colour already so you don't have to paint them. Or paint them with a lighter colour and then the imperfections aren't so obvious

yeah, I stuck them on and then I painted them. Might try painting them first next time.
