Vinted offers

How would you deal with a buyer who keeps coming back with miniscule increments on their original (very low) offer? Block them or message back and potentially get into an back and forth argument about why I wouldn't accept a lower price?

Sometimes selling on Vinted is a bit more hassle than it's worth 🙄

Block

dudsville · 15/10/2024 16:27

Depends. Have you replied stating what you'll accept and then they keep asking you to reduce? I'm new to vinted, i have someone who had attempted to enter into a haggle. They know what I'm happy to accept so I've left it. I how they don't just purchase the item now because i anticipate they'd be difficult about it.

Is it possible to block a buyer?

Illpickthatup · 15/10/2024 16:55

Just reply with your lowest offer and if they try to go lower than that then block them

itsnothingoriginal · 15/10/2024 17:01

I've blocked now as that's exactly what I'd anticipated happening @dudsville

You can block a buyer - I just felt a bit harsh doing it but even if we agreed on a price I think she'd just leave me crap feedback having been so persistent with the low offers!

I just ignore them.

That's useful to know, thanks! Does the person know they're blocked?

PayYourselfFirst · 15/10/2024 20:07

I always check the feedback before I accept offers or buy anything particularly if low offers.
Poor feedback = instant block.
They always mess around, try to get refunds etc

Jk987 · 15/10/2024 20:20

You don't have to reply you know! No reply = not accepted in my book. No need to block or worry about it!

Serene135 · 15/10/2024 20:42

Just block them. It’s incredibly irritating, especially if the offer was low to begin with. If you did eventually end up accepting an offer from them they would probably be irritated that they couldn’t get the item for less and then leave you bad feedback or ask for a return.

TragicMuse · 15/10/2024 20:50

I have only had a couple of these. I replied saying I wanted what I'd put as the price and rejecting the offer. My items are fairly priced and I'm not dropping!

TragicMuse · 15/10/2024 20:51

One came back with another low offer and I pointed out that mine was second lowest of the type and brand and it's fairly priced.

If she wants it she can pay my price!!

Withdrawn at OP's request.

I thought Vinted had a limit as to how low you can offer?

Ncmetop · 15/10/2024 21:24

A lot of the times now I just list the item at a higher price with the expectation people will just make offers. But if it’s unacceptable the offer - I just decline without naming another price.

NewspaperDoll · 16/10/2024 10:12

You can make a counter offer. If they still low ball it, then I just politely say ‘I’m really sorry, but I won’t sell below £xx’. Then you can just ignore any offers they make that are below. No need to block.
