Plus size Christmas party dresses

I’m a size 22, carry most weight around my middle so I like to disguise that as much as possible. Quite pale skin with mid brown hair and I’m about 5’6” and I’m 34.

Christmas night out is an organised “party night” at a hotel - meal, drinks, tribute act, DJ etc.

My preference would be a dress that sits just above the knee that would look good with black tights and heels.

I hate purple but am open to all other colours 😊 Budget flexible depending on how versatile the dress is 👍🏻

Nothing is grabbing my attention and I’ve had a major wardrobe clear out this year and don’t really have anything appropriate. Would love to see what you guys would choose for me?

It's a lovely, heavy thick velvet. I'm a size 20 and it is a lovely generous fit without swamping me. Should be lovely for Christmas!
