Longer length jumpers

Hoping MN can help me!

I'm looking for longer jumpers to wear with leggings. Ideally oversized/looser but needed in size 18/20.
I like the look of the half zips that people are wearing a lot of, or just a regular jumper!

Just want my arse covered when wearing leggings and struggling to find anything that fits the bill.

In my experience just look in the mens section of any department store or hide street shop. Way better options than the ladies section. And normally cheaper.

You could try this

It’s the wearing of leggings at all that I’d caution against. (Not that you asked, admittedly.)

You’re presumably not wearing them for gym / sports / exercise - or you wouldn’t want a jumper?

For any other activities you’re always going to look more elegant in something that isn’t leggings. And with a well cut pair of trousers you won’t feel a need to ‘cover up’ any part of your body - so could choose tops more freely. (I realise one might wear leggings to lessen the pressure on a site of pain or injury - even for this there are alternatives.)

It's fine to wear leggings/jeggings/slim fitting stretchy bottoms. They are comfortable and don't add bulk. I agree look for men's jumpers.

Look for knitted mini dresses.

You’re right, she didn’t ask, so your personal opinions regarding leggings probably weren’t necessary to share. Leggings are comfy and I don’t give a single hoot about being elegant 😂

Thanks all, didn't think to look in the men's!

@BetsyRegards I spend the week in dresses or M&S trousers. At the weekend on the side of the football pitch I just want to be comfy in black gym leggings and a jumper, but thanks!

Leggings are brilliant in wet weather they don't get wet cold and flap about getting colder

This is a funny post, achingly Mumsnet.

Leggings are just a thicker form of tights and a long top is essentially the same as a non fitted dress.

Absolutely no logic to the bee in the bonnet people on here have about leggings, just people like to pick on popular items and try and make people who like said items feel small. See also Pandora bracelets, Disney, cruises etc etc.

If you want something cosy but casual this sweatshirt dress might suit.

Sizing is generous. I'm a 16 and a medium is quite loose after sending back a large, which would probably be about right for you if 18/20.

You could try a knitted mini dress? Just get a size or two larger
