Any hairdressers out there can figure out my hair?

For last 6 weeks my hair has had a sticky like film on it after washing, it feels greasy all the time, a bit like chewing gum and stretchy after washing. Falling out in handfuls every wash too.
Haven't changed my shampoo or conditioner, I don't use heat styling at all and haven't had it colored since March.
Wtf is up with it?
Noticed it starting when we came back from holiday. Has been 6 weeks of high stress tbh.
What is it and how do I fix it if anyone can help?!
I'm having full bloods done end October if that may help.

It's build up,you need a clarifying shampoo .

Not sure about falling out though although it's normal to shed now and again especially after an illness.

Hi OP, it’s hair shedding season at the moment, it peaks in the autumn so it could be linked to this. Stress can contribute to hair loss and change the condition of it. Have you had any major diet changes and/or any vitamin or supplement changes? If you are concerned, I would speed up having bloods and visiting your GP.

A clarifying shampoo should help with the greasy / film texture you have described as a PP has already suggested.
The stretchiness that you describe sounds like your hair is lacking protein and needs a protein mask or treatment to replenish it. Trauma Treatment by L’Anza is a brilliant mask / leave in conditioner, it is on the pricey side but you don’t need much and it really is a brilliant product. I’ve just had a look and Charles Worthington also do a protein treatment which is a lot friendlier on the bank balance however I cannot comment on its effectiveness as I have never tried it, it does have good reviews so worth a look.

Please be mindful that it is possible to overdo protein treatments, your hair will become hard and brittle if it has too much protein and will then need a moisture treatment to balance it back out.

What shampoo and conditioner are you using?
Feeling greasy sounds like a silicone build up which can happen if you use shampoos like pantene, tresemme etc over and over. Shampoo with a pearly look to them usually contain silicone. A clear shampoo will start to remove it.
