How often do you do your roots, especially if you do it yourself?

I have mine done by a hairdresser every 5-6
weeks. It’s expensive admittedly but it’s worth it to me as it never looks quite right when I do it myself and looks ‘patchy’ as it grows.

Every 6 weeks. It's expensive but as pp said, it's worth it to me.

I used to have to do them every 3 weeks when my hair was dark. Greys v noticeable. Now I get highlights every 7/8 weeks. Lifechanger!

I do mine around every 4 weeks and I do them myself. I used to go to the hairdressers but apart from the money, struggled to find the time with working FT and having 3 kids! I researched the best home dyes and Nice n Easy is apparently the closest to what hairdressers use. I don't get the stripes you often get from home dyes, as long as you always use the same colour. Leaves my hair in good condition too, my hairdresser is always complimentary about the colour too!

When its noticeable! so usually every couple of months.
I dye mine mid blonde and have dark blonde hair, plus most of my grey is hidden under my fringe so I can get away with longer times between.

I do it myself every 3 or 4 weeks. I wouldn't get a box due personally, I'd recommend going into a sallys and asking their advice, they will match a shade for you and you mix it with the activator yourself. Works out much cheaper and the shade actually matches

Every three weeks at a salon. I've tried to dye my hair myself and it's been a disaster with dye going everywhere.

My hairdresser does a reasonable discount to just have the top roots and sides dyed to hide the grays and then I get full roots done every so often. I also don't get a full blow dry. They charge £5 so that my is just dried enough not to be soaking wet when I go out of the salon

Roots as in high light roots, every 3 months but maybe after 10-12 weeks if looking really bad.
