Quite like the blouses, coats and boots (not the riding boots, no horse!). Anyone recommend?

Just bumping this as I’m interested, too. I’ve got my eye on the chunky boots so any comments on quality and comfort would be appreciated.

Following. I saw a stunning coat I wanted at rhe bicester outlet. Sadly none in my size and I'd have nowhere to wear it. From the short time I was looking the quality looked very good

Not what you’re asking but I think a lot of their stuff looks great. I am however really put off by the huge ‘Holland Cooper’ or ‘HC’ on everything.

I do have to agree with you on that!

Faux country overpriced tat

I bought a fair isle jumper- it’s fine. It cost £150ish and the quality is fine, but absolutely not worth the price. If someone told me it was H&M I wouldn’t question it. It’s put me off looking at anything else from the brand though (and I also really dislike the branding on a lot of the clothes)

sorry I can’t comment on shoes/coats.

I’ve gone with AllSaints Chelsea calf boots instead now. Really could not accept the bling logo!

Yes I know what you mean.

I didn’t get them in the end, I ordered some boots from Hobbs which were awful and had to return them.
I’m still on the look out, I want them up to the knee though not an inch below.

I have the Camden biker boots and there great , really warm and comfortable.
I also have some Seattle jumpers and half zips again good quality and warm . I don’t buy the stuff which has the brand written all over it .

faeriesandelves · 23/10/2024 22:37

I've just bought the "Ugg" looking sheepskin boots from H&C. Excellent quality. Also the fleece gilet arrived today which is lovely and thick. Likewise I don't like large branding everywhere but that goes for all my clothes anyway. Only slight negative is that takes a while for a refund after sending items back.

WhatNext24 · 23/10/2024 22:44

I ordered a blazer and some leather trousers from there this week. The trousers were good but the blazers were terrible quality and went back. I would have been disappointed with the same quality at a much lower price point, but the H&C price was outrageous for such low quality stuff. I have never ordered from them before so no idea how typical this is.

ThespTheo · 23/10/2024 22:46

I’ve worn it for the last decade but the quality isn’t great on their mass produced stuff, stitching coming undone and poor finish on metal wear.

Noodlehen · 23/10/2024 22:47

I have a winter coat, quality is great and very warm. DH has a few fleeces which he likes.

I’m really surprised by this. I came on to say no experience of the boots but I have a few tailored items (coats, blazers, trousers) and I’m really happy with the quality of all of them. And they don’t have any obvious branding on them so don’t recognise those comments either.

I have some jumpers.

The buttons on them ones I have are glued on which I thought was a bit cheap for the price. I would have expected them to be sewn on.

incognitomummy · 07/11/2025 01:28

What is the general view on HC now?
I bought a couple of jumpers on vinted recently and these items are supposed to be barely worn. But 2 out of the 3 I purchased are so bobbly they look almost unwearable.

just had a Quick Look at trust pilot reviews and it is not a good look for HC at all.

the jumpers are both made in China - not really best of British!
