Those eyeshadow sticks.

I am being bombarded on FB with adverts for eyeliners/eyeshadow pencils.
They all claim to be ‘buttery’, long lasting, smudge proof and ideal for transforming the eyes of a crone like me into sparkling orbs.
Most however seem to cost at least £25 each. I would expect a set of several shades for that sort of money not a solitary stick.
Can anyone please recommend a cheap version? Maybe Amazon or Superdrug?
And definitely buttery.

Boots No7 do them in several shades

mynewhouse · 05/10/2024 15:32

What shades are you looking for?

Plump82 · 05/10/2024 15:33

Elf and Kiko do really good eyeshadow sticks. Very similar to the Bobby Brown ones but much cheaper.

TrickyD · 05/10/2024 15:52

Thank you!
I had a look at Boots but couldn’t easily find the sort of thing I’m after, but ELF had some far cheaper than the ones advertised on FB in the colours I want:

pinkish, beigish, charcoal maybe bronze, Thank you Plump82, I’d not heard of that make.
Off to look at Kiko now.

Try the ELF beige one, I use it all the time and really like it, and only £5

I love an eyeshadow stick /pencil and have tried a lot of brands , the ones i rate the most are avon , they have the best smudgeproof /staying power ,decent colour choice too.

StamppotAndGravy · 05/10/2024 16:25

The kiko ones are good. They work well as primer too, so you can put powder over the top to get a mixed colour effect

I bought a couple from a brand called Julep on Amazon. I was sceptical but I love them!

The Bobbi Brown ones are not worth the money. I think they are awful compared to the creme pot eyeshadow they used to do 😢.

I like nudestix, the full size are around £20 for a full size but I got 3 travel sizes in a tin (with mirror and sharpener) for about the same price. I've been using them regularly since July and haven't had to use the sharpener yet so I'm expecting them to last a while even though they're small.

Thanks everyone. I have ordered from Amazon and will report back.
